I want them Real D glasses!

If you keep your pair of Real D glasses after going to a 3-d movie, and take said glasses to somewhere like Lens Crafters or Pearle Vision, will they custom fit prescription lenses into the frames??? Because those Real D glasses are awesome.

HBK, I got bad news. If you take the Real D glasses to a retailer like Lens Crafters, they will tell you that the glasses are not “Rx”-able. And even if you totally own the kindly employee who’s trying to help you and sincerely disppointed that she can’t by responding, ” ‘Rx’-able, R-shmexable”, she still won’t be able to put prescription lenses in there. It sucks, I know.
That said, Coraline in 3D is pretty wicked, but I think I’d enjoy the 2D version better. I’m not really down with the 3D resurgence, other than in concert films like U2:3D, which was LEGIT.
